Summer Intern Job Information This is an important change and
most immediately relevant to those who intend to apply for
summer jobs with PennDOT. Please click on the State
Memorandums below.
Just a note to let all of you
know the changes with the Summer PennDot 2010 Seasonal
Positions. As in the past, the PennDot will be hiring
college students and they will also be hiring a limited
number of non-students statewide for summer employment as
seasonal workers.
To qualify, student candidates
must be 18 years of age and be enrolled in college for the
fall semester of 2010. Non-students candidates are not
subject to this requirement.
These positions last the
duration of the summer and commence as early as April 1,
2010.

Please have
candidates apply online -
www.employment.pa.gov
and please DO NOT send the candidates resume and/or
Personal Data Sheet directly to the state as in the past.
The state will accept ONLY online applications. Candidates
should apply for the "student summer employment" category
once they access the website. Be sure the candidates
give a copy of the resume or Personal Data Sheet that he/she
sent online to the Chairperson so when the Chairperson sends
in the priority list that the Chairman will know the
candidate sent employment information online to the state.
The Chairperson cannot recommend hiring if the candidate has
not applied online. This is a MUST. Applicants who have
not completed the online application as referenced above
cannot be referred for hiring.
All applicants must
apply by the close of business on
Friday, January 22, 2010 and a list of
the candidates rankings from the Chairpersons must be
received by Tuesday, February 8, 2010. This
deadline is and will remain firm.
